In the year 2006 Emel Meneses presented in the Regional Tridonic EM T5 Basic Artists Salon a series of drawings entitled “Uribe Vélez”, portraits extracted from newspapers pictures of the Colombian leader, placing in scene the always conflicting and polemic relationship that Meeting Table exists between art, politics and media, between media representation and political representation, between art and the  staging of power.
